Altera Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established engineering services provider operating within the water, wastewater, and environmental sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of multidisciplinary projects across operational and capital works environments.
This role offers the opportunity to work on varied engineering projects, contributing from concept through to completion, while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance are maintained throughout.
Role Overview
The Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and technical delivery of electrical projects. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, operations, and project teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project scopes, technical requirements, resource plans, and delivery programmes
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with client standards, framework agreements, and statutory regulations
- Lead and participate in engineering reviews including HAZOP, HAZCOM, FAT, and SAT processes
- Review and manage RAMS, designer risk assessments, and CDM documentation
- Support defect management, snagging resolution, and final project close-out activities
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering
- Proven experience delivering multidisciplinary engineering or M&E projects
- Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and NEC forms of contract
- Proficient in engineering and project documentation using MS Office and CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
