Our client, a prominent company in the manufacturing sector, is currently looking for a Production Operative/FLT Driver to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working with continuous polymer compounding extruders to produce high-quality thermoplastic materials. The successful individual will be part of a team dedicated to maintaining high standards of production, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up machines according to relevant specifications and monitoring product quality
- Requesting, measuring, and loading all raw materials as required
- Maximising machine outputs and ensuring production requirements are met
- Conducting Quality Control tests such as Ash, MFI, and volatiles, and promptly informing supervision of any quality deviations
- Ensuring effective communication with the Shift Supervisor regarding production status and any arising issues
- Adhering to equipment procedures and disciplinary practices
- Maintaining good housekeeping practices at all times
- Following procedures designed in accordance with ISO 9001 to ensure product quality
- Maintaining high standards of attendance
- Complying with Health and Safety legislation and company policies to ensure safe working conditions
Job Requirements:
- Good level of general education
- Current fork truck counterbalance license
- Literate, numerate, and accurate with basic figures
- Good health record
- Reliable and able to work as a member of a team
- Ability to work on own initiative
Work Schedule:
The position involves working a 40-hour week on a 3-shift rotating system Monday to Friday (Apply online only); (Apply online only); (Apply online only)hrs) following the pattern: Days - Nights - Afternoons.
