Reed Recruitment are looking to recruit an experienced Roofer to join our client's friendly team based in Havant. Our client provides reactive maintenance services for social housing and district councils. This role will be Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm with a 30-minute lunch break.

Reporting to the Repairs & Voids Manager and, on a daily basis, to the Supervisor, your duties will include but not limited to:Undertaking all aspects of roofing work, including:

Replace any timber or insulated roof decking
Form internal roof gutters with correct falls
Assessing the work requirements when you get to site, stripping any built-up flat felt roof covering
Communicating with the Call Centre in an accurate and timely manner via telephone to gain each job and to update the service co-ordinators with the work you believe is required and what you have subsequently undertaken.
Liaising with tenants on site regarding the work you are undertaking.
The role will involve heavy lifting, manual handling and kneeling for long periods of times.

Additional to the above requirements, the ideal candidate should be able to carry out the following repairs/works:• Pitched roofing tile repairs• Felt and batten replacement• Gutter repairs and replacement• Fascia repairs and replacement• Must be able to install mineral wool loft insulation• Clear gutters• Pointing to verges and ridge tiles• Tile and slate hangingQualifications & Experience:• Good general roofing skills and experience.

• Able to work under pressure and prioritise accordingly

• A full driving licence -with no more than 3 points
