Overview
Hampshire CC are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to supporting individuals and families in need, providing guidance and resources to help them navigate life's challenges. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to identify clients' needs and develop tailored support plans.
- Completing fostering and SGO compliant assessments of kinship carers, both initial viability assessments and full assessments.
- Giving evidence in court as required on completed assessments.
- Foster carer supervision of temporarily approved kinship foster carers.
- Presenting kinship carers to fostering panel to seek approval.
Experience
- A recognised qualification in Social Work is essential.
- Previous experience in a social work setting is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated skills in supervising and mentoring others will be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for effective client interaction.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A solid understanding of relevant legislation and policies affecting social work practice is beneficial.
