Prospero Teaching are seeking an experienced SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) teacher to join our client school in Havant. In this role, you will work closely with the class team and Pastoral Department to provide tailored support to our students. With small class sizes, you will have the opportunity to build strong, nurturing relationships and positively impact their achievements and self-esteem.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils who find learning in class challenging.

  • Develop bespoke timetables tailored to individual pupil needs.

  • Ensure pupils engage with learning in a way that suits their unique needs.

  • Collaborate with teaching staff to provide appropriately leveled work.



Requirements:

  • Proven experience teaching pupils with SEMH needs.

  • Strong understanding of the needs of students with Special Educational Needs.

  • Ability to form nurturing relationships and boost pupils' self-esteem.

  • Commitment to creating a safe and caring learning environment.



To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

  • Hold right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide references upon request
  • Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
