Maintenance Technician – Day Shift Havant We’re looking for askilled Maintenance Technicianto join our Maintenance Department in Havant, working aday shift and reporting to the Maintenance Manager.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a vital part in keeping our production equipment running safely, efficiently, and reliably - helping the site achieve its KPIs and continuous improvement goals.

The Role As a Maintenance Technician, You Will

  • Repair and maintain site production equipment in a safe, compliant manner
  • Maximise equipment availability to support production and site KPIs
  • Maintain equipment throughout its full lifecycle in line with OEM recommendations
  • Diagnose faults, identify root causes, and implement effective, long-term solutions
  • Work proactively with peers, customers, and support teams to improve reliability and performance
  • Actively contribute to Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to breakdowns and systematically diagnose and resolve faults
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
  • Source parts, supplies, and repair items as required
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, reliability, and robustness
  • Collaborate with Continuous Improvement and Process Engineering to improve OEE, cost efficiency, and site KPIs
  • Update maintenance records, review CMMS data, and use predictive maintenance technologies
  • Troubleshoot control systems, resolving software, hardware, and configuration issues
  • Support other departments and provide leadership to small teams when required
  • Share knowledge, coach others, and complete ongoing technical training
  • Promote and adhere to Safe Systems of Work, safety legislation, and site policies

Essential Qualifications What We’re Looking For

  • Time-served, certified Engineering Apprenticeship
  • BTEC / NVQ Level 3 in an Engineering discipline (or equivalent)

Experience & Skills

  • Experience in a general industrial environment (or equivalent training/experience)
  • Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and control systems
  • Ability to analyse problems and carry out effective repairs
  • Confident using hand tools and specialised equipment
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics
