Construction Site Manager Industrial Refurbishment Project

Rate: Competitive Day Rate
Contract: Contract / Full-Time
Start Date: January 2026 - 6 month duration
GM Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Site Manager to lead an industrial refurbishment project in Haverhill. The role involves managing all on-site activities with a strong focus on groundworks, steel frame construction, and cladding.
Role Responsibilities:
* Manage daily site operations from groundwork phase through to steel frame build and cladding
* Supervise subcontractors and trades to ensure high standards of work
* Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, and QS teams to achieve project targets
* Oversee and enforce all Health & Safety requirements on site
* Plan and coordinate materials, equipment, and deliveries
* Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks, and complete risk assessments
* Monitor programme progress and report regularly on site performance
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry
* Strong knowledge of groundworks and steel frame building methods
* Experience working with cladding systems
* SMSTS and First Aid certifications (essential)
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications
