Role Quality Control Analyst
Location Haverhill, Suffolk
Working hours Monday to Friday 7.30am 4.30pm/ 8.30am 5.30pm
Salary Up to £30,000 per annum

Our client is currently seeking a Quality control analyst to join their busy quality department. Candidates will have worked within a similar position previously and will be used to undertaking analysis of chemicals to support production.
This role offers an immediate start for the right candidate.

Main duties will include -
To undertake Documentation, Maintenance and Quality Control tasks
Planning work based upon the direction of the quality managers and department. To ensure that work priorities and analysis are undertaken in a timely manner
reactive to changing priorities and amend their planned work to accommodate such changes,
To keep themselves and others safe and to look after their welfare as so far is reasonably practical. Ensuring the QC laboratory is likewise run in a safe manner and ensure compliance to company procedures.
Supporting the QC Lead in documentation, maintenance and QC tasks as required or as directed. This will include, but is not limited to updating/creation of new analytical methods and specifications to ensure the capture of all relevant and important information within such,
To undertake analysis of raw materials, intermediates and final product, using GC, HPLC, FITR, KF and titrations to allow release to production or clients.
To support the quality team in routine, non-routine analysis, method reviews, problem solving and trouble shooting.
Preparing and reviewing QC results for internal and release testing,
Reviewing and as appropriate approving process on/via Rubicon,
To support the QC Lead to troubleshoot issues, that may occur in QC, R&D or production in a responsive, positive and effective manner. To engage with management and/or other employees as needed to aid in resolution of these issues,
To support the QC Lead troubleshoot issues that may occur with quality equipment in a responsive, positive and effective manner. To engage with management, other employees and/or suppliers as needed to aid in resolution of these issues,

Candidate attributes -
Degree in Organic or Analytical Chemistry is preferred or qualified years of experience may
be substituted for each year of required education.
Knowledge and experience of analytical techniques and operation of GC, HPLC, FITR, KF and titrations.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, to include Word and Excel.
1-2 years of Quality Control experience with relevant industry experience, i.e., fine chemical or pharmaceutical manufacture.
Primarily Laboratory based, so whilst performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to lab equipment, such as GCs, HPLCs, FTIR, Autotirator, also including computers, office machines, and communication devices.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 kilos or more with assistance.
Own transport is essential due to the location of the premises.
