About Us:
We are working with a primary school that supports children to be the best they can be. The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant for an ASAP start to work within a provision in the school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be required to provide both 1:1 and group support to children with complex SEN. The school works hard to ensure that learning is effective, exciting and relevant to the needs of the children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with other adults to support the pupils in the provision
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis as required.
- Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Experience: Previous experience working in a Primary School
- Knowledge: Understanding of supporting pupils with SEN and complex needs
- Desirable: Experience working with children with Autism
