Depot Manager – Brand New Site Launch (Haydock)
Salary: £55,000 – £70,000 + Bonus + Company Benefits

NEOS Engineering are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Depot Manager to lead the launch and ongoing operations of a brand-new depot in Haydock. This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven leader to take full ownership of a new site, shape its culture, and drive its success from day one.
Our client is a well-established, growing business within the engineering and industrial sector, now expanding with a new state-of-the-art depot.
Key Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for all depot operations, ensuring safe, efficient and profitable running of the site.
- Oversee the launch and setup of a brand-new depot, including establishing processes, structure and operational standards.
- Recruit, lead and develop a high-performing team across operations, engineering, logistics and administration.
- Maintain strict Health & Safety compliance and promote a strong safety culture.
- Manage budgets, P&L, resource planning, stock levels and KPI reporting.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and strong client relationships.
- Work closely with senior management to deliver on strategic goals and growth targets.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience managing a depot, branch, or operational centre (Plant Hire, Transport, Distribution, Engineering or similar).
- Strong people leadership skills with the ability to build, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Commercially astute with experience managing budgets, KPIs and operational performance.
- Hands-on, proactive leader comfortable in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong communication and customer service capability.
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety compliance and operational standards.
