We are working with an established freight forwarder, who are looking to recruit an Air Import Customs co-ordinator 4on 4off days 7am - 7pm or Monday to Friday will work closely with the import team and HMRC.

This role is 90% Custom Clearances, Good customs experience needed.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Prepping and clearing shipments through customs, working closely with other operation sections and departments. To supply a high level of service to both internal colleagues, suppliers, and clients alike when completing import customs formalities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

路 Complete day to day customs clearance of arrivals, including pre-lodgements and T1鈥檚. 路 Monitoring ETAs of incoming shipments and keeping the import team and customers updated of any delays or changes in the schedule. 路 Booking in shipments from pre-alerts, working with the customer service team to ensure all information is provided by the customer prior to arrival of goods in the UK.路 Housekeeping on internal systems.路 Identify any potential problem areas before they have an adverse effect on operations. 路 Develop constructive relationships with operational staff and clients where appropriate.路 Deal with all queries and claims quickly and efficiently.路 Create ETSF records and maintain the ETSF paperwork.路 Monitor and work from a shared email inbox.路 Keep import team and customers fully informed of any holds, exams or other areas which may cause delay to a shipment.路 General administrative duties.路 Ensure customer service and customers are fully informed of the progress of their shipments.路 Provide transport team with the relevant information and documentation to ensure pickups and customer delivery requirements are met.路 Work closely with the transport team, including planning and arranging collections from the airline 路 Ensure correct documentation is on file and act accordingly as set out in the instructions.路 Any other duties as required by management for the smooth and efficient operation of the department.
