Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Hayes
Salary: £44,000 – £48,000
Shift Pattern: 4-on / 4-off (Days Only – 6am to 6pm)
We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our high-performing engineering team at a fast-paced FMCG site. Working with modern, automated, high-speed packaging machinery, you’ll play a key role in ensuring production efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement on the factory floor. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on high-speed packaging and production lines.
Deliver effective fault-finding across mechanical and electrical systems.
Support the drive for improved OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and implement root cause analysis for recurring issues.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and site projects.
Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and quality standards.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime and optimise performance.
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
Previous experience in an FMCG or high-volume manufacturing environment (preferred).
NVQ Level 3 / HNC in Engineering (desirable).
Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-focused mindset.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
Competitive salary: £44,000 – £48,000
4-on / 4-off days-only shift pattern (6am–6pm)
