We're looking for dependable and hardworking Refuse Site Operatives / Waste Operatives to work at a busy recycling and waste site in Hayes.

This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy outdoor, active work and want to be part of a friendly and supportive team helping the public recycle safely and effectively.



Key Responsibilities

On-Site Duties

  • Keep the site clean, safe, and tidy throughout the day

  • Perform basic maintenance and support the overall upkeep of the facility

  • Manage incoming waste and recyclables correctly

  • Support safe and efficient unloading of waste materials

Waste Handling

  • Sort recyclable materials from general waste

  • Operate balers and other machinery (full training provided)

  • Maintain correct safety signage across the site

Health & Safety

  • Follow all site safety rules and procedures

  • Stay alert to risks to ensure a safe environment for staff and public

  • Support the security and safe operation of all site equipment



What You'll Need

  • Physically fit - able to lift, carry, and work on your feet all day

  • Reliable & punctual - committed to full-time weekday work

  • Good communication skills - able to speak clearly and politely to members of the public

  • Team player - willing to work together and support your colleagues

  • Flexible & safety conscious - always puts safety first and adapts as needed
