- Maintain up-to-date financial records and ensure all processes adhere to statutory finance regulations
- Carry out reconciliation of bank statements, execute payments, and handle online banking systems
- Manage ledgers for both client and office accounts, process cheque payments, and organise deposits
- Input accurate financial data into the LEAP practice management platform
- Offer assistance to clients and team members with finance-related enquiries
- Process card payments, prepare billing documents, and manage credit note issuance
- Supervise petty cash, handle VAT submissions, and perform three-way reconciliations
- Adhere to Solicitors’ Accounts Rules and Anti-Money Laundering legislation
- Communicate with external accountants and compile regular financial summaries
- Proven experience in bookkeeping (preferably in a legal environment, though not essential)
- A meticulous approach with an emphasis on accuracy
- Prior exposure to legal accounting systems or a willingness to train in this area
- Familiarity with debt management techniques and industry compliance standards
- Strong organisational abilities and excellent written and verbal communication skills
