Are you an experienced Finance Assistant or Bookkeeping professional with a keen eye for precision?Eager to join a friendly, tight-knit firm that champions its people, promotes growth opportunities, and gives you the chance to work alongside a lively and capable team?Core Responsibilities:
  • Maintain daily accounts records and ensure compliance with legal finance procedures
  • Perform bank reconciliations, process payments, and manage internet banking operations
  • Oversee both Client and Office account ledgers, handle bank deposits, and manage cheques
  • Accurately input financial data into the LEAP legal case management system
  • Assist clients and colleagues with finance-related queries and support
  • Process card transactions, raise invoices, and handle credit notes
  • Monitor petty cash, manage VAT obligations, and complete three-way reconciliations
  • Comply with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules and Anti-Money Laundering requirements
  • Liaise with external accountants and produce periodic financial reports
What We’re Looking For:
  • Demonstrable bookkeeping experience (ideally within a legal firm, though not essential)
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy
  • Previous legal accounts experience or an openness to undertake relevant training
  • Knowledge of credit control methods and regulatory guidelines
  • Strong organisational skills and effective verbal and written communication
