- Maintain daily accounts records and ensure compliance with legal finance procedures
- Perform bank reconciliations, process payments, and manage internet banking operations
- Oversee both Client and Office account ledgers, handle bank deposits, and manage cheques
- Accurately input financial data into the LEAP legal case management system
- Assist clients and colleagues with finance-related queries and support
- Process card transactions, raise invoices, and handle credit notes
- Monitor petty cash, manage VAT obligations, and complete three-way reconciliations
- Comply with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules and Anti-Money Laundering requirements
- Liaise with external accountants and produce periodic financial reports
- Demonstrable bookkeeping experience (ideally within a legal firm, though not essential)
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy
- Previous legal accounts experience or an openness to undertake relevant training
- Knowledge of credit control methods and regulatory guidelines
- Strong organisational skills and effective verbal and written communication
