We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a team of professionals supporting students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in secondary schools across Haywards Heath. The Role:
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with EHCPs

  • Work collaboratively with class teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised learning strategies

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities

  • Promote student independence, confidence, and engagement

  • Support with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, where appropriate

Ideal Candidates Will Have:
  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (SEN), particularly in a secondary school setting

  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A flexible and proactive approach to supporting diverse learning needs

Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
