Monday - Friday 9 am - 5:30 pm 

£27,000 - £30,000 per annum. 

I am looking for an organised and experienced secretary looking to join a professional and successful client I am currently representing. 

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare correspondence, reports, memos, forms, legal documents, and bills through audio dictation, manuscript, and precedents, ensuring compliance with our house style guide.
  • Create and amend documentation such as Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Oaths and Affidavits, using instructions and extracts from precedents. Produce initial drafts and quality bound engrossments for client signature. 
  • Prioritise and review incoming post/emails in the absence of the appropriate fee earner.
  • Handle telephone inquiries, resolving general queries, and providing updates on matters. Relay messages to clients and professionals on behalf of fee-earners.
  • Coordinate meetings, maintain efficient filing systems, and handle file opening, closure, and deeds scheduling within the Group.
  • Provide secretarial support to fee-earners during periods of sickness, annual leave, or heavy workload.
  • Perform basic accounting transactions and address account-related issues as needed.
  • Attend group meetings and participate in training courses determined by the Group Head.

The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills, experience and qualities:

  • Is an experienced Legal Secretary
  • IT skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
  • Attention to detail is paramount and excellent spelling and grammar is essential
  • Experience in audio typing and case management systems would be an advantage.
  • Has strong administration with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • is a team player with a great eye for detail
  • is professional, motivated and be personable
