Irish main contractor seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee the entire logistics process, from material procurement to on-site deliveries. You will be working on a traditional build retirement villa project that has just broken ground. This is a permanent role, with a strong pipeline of upcoming work within London and surrounding counties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently allocate materials, equipment, and personnel to construction sites based on project requirements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure the best pricing and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and reorder supplies as needed.
  • Ensure all plant (i.e. forklifts, hoists, generators) are being maintained, in service, and checks are being completed and recorded.
  • Oversee the transportation of materials and equipment to construction sites, optimizing routes and schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in all logistics operations.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce logistics expenses.
  • Supervise and motivate a team of logistics personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
  • Address logistics-related issues and develop innovative solutions to overcome challenges.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Logistics Manager in the construction industry
  • Relevant training certificates (SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS, First Aid, Traffic Management)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Knowledge of safety regulations
