About the role:

We are looking for a full time IT Support Engineer to join our small IT Team – You will primarily be responsible for Initial triage and 1st line fix for all support issues, processing all tickets and responding with appropriate action. Being hands on working directly with customers across the business to resolve IT issues. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact to our internal and external customers and get hands on and grow your skills beyond the support desk.

We are a market leader in automotive control unit remanufacturing, and we develop ECU (Electronic Control unit) remanufacturing solutions for Engine management, Transmission, Anti-lock braking, Electronic power steering, instrumentation and comfort control systems for the automotive aftermarket.

Main responsibilities

  • 1st Line triage and response of all IT tickets including solution of tickets where appropriate, escalating where necessary
  • Maintaining current hardware and stock levels of all IT equipment to ensure smooth business operations
  • Daily, Weekly, Monthly Routine check and fixes
  • Engage with the setup, troubleshooting and maintenance of end user devices and peripherals (desktops, laptops, tablets, monitors, printers and other devices)
  • Support in the maintenance & setup of network hardware, switches, & wireless access points.
  • Take regular audits of IT equipment to ensure machines are kept up to date and within compliance
  • Alongside the IT Manager, work on projects to plan and implement IT changes and upgrades
  • Other activities reasonably required by the business to complete the role

Key skills and requirements:

  • 2+ years experience as 1st line IT Support technician supporting a business from triage through to problem solve
  • Experience in supporting end users face to face to resolve issues
    • Technical skills in the following areas
      • Windows Operating system
      • Microsoft 365
      • Active Directory
      • Networking
      • Hardware troubleshooting
  • Good communicator with a strong customer service mindset
  • Problem solving skills
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive with strong time management skills
  • Multitasker and have a methodical approach to the task at hand
  • The ability to communicate effectively IT issues with non-technical staff

Schedule: Monday – Friday: 09:00 – 17:30 (During induction) 08:00 – 16:30 (after induction period)
