Children's Services Practice Manager

Location: East Sussex
Salary: 50,623 - 54,978 per annum
Contract: Full-time, permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Practice Manager to lead on quality assurance and supported accommodation for young people. You'll manage placement quality, compliance, and performance, providing expert consultation and leadership to ensure the best outcomes for children.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Communicating effectively in complex and challenging circumstances to secure appropriate placements.
  • Collating and analysing information to inform service delivery.
  • Providing expert practice consultation, industry insight, and regulatory guidance.
  • Applying housing legislation to ensure effective placements.
  • Promoting evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
  • Leading staff supervision and professional development.
  • Travelling nationwide as required, including occasional overnight stays
  • Negotiateachieve needs led, cost effective packages of support that are excellent quality

Within this role you will need to:

  • hold Level 5 residential qualification in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Have experience of managing children's residential homes
  • thrive under pressure and enjoy working with crisis, at pace.
  • be confident in your decision making and understanding of risk.
  • be creative and driven in your approach to problem solving.
  • build relationships while offering appropriately challenge

This is a Hybrid role, working at least 2 days within the office.
