Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager for our small residential care home close to Crowborough, East Sussex. This role is ideal for a Senior Care Assistant or Team Leader looking to advance their career, or an experienced Deputy Care Manager seeking a new opportunity.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Home Manager in the daily operations of the care home, ensuring high standards of care and service are maintained.
- Lead and motivate the care team, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Oversee the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring they meet the needs of the residents.
- Conduct regular assessments and reviews of residents' care plans and overall well-being.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and standards, including health and safety regulations.
- Manage staff rotas, ensuring adequate staffing levels at all times.
- Handle any complaints or incidents that arise in the home, ensuring they are resolved effectively and efficiently.
- Liaise with residents’ families and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Support the Home Manager in administrative tasks, including budgeting and resource management.

Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role within a residential care home setting, or as a Senior Care Assistant or Team Leader.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards in the care sector.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) preferred.
- Commitment to providing high-quality care and improving the lives of residents.
