SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time, Long-Term Contract
Location: Heathfield, East Sussex
Pay: £445.25 – £500 per week
Hours: 08:30 – 15:30
Contract Type: Long-Term, Full-Time

Supply Desk is a nationwide education recruitment company specialising in Primary, Secondary, and SEND education. We are currently working with a number of welcoming and supportive schools in the Heathfield area, and are looking to recruit SEN Teaching Assistants for full-time, long-term positions starting this term.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with a range of SEN needs
• Supporting the class teacher in delivering tailored, inclusive learning activities
• Assisting with classroom routines, setup, and resource preparation
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Helping to create a safe, nurturing and supportive learning environment
• Working closely with teachers and SEND staff to follow support plans and strategies

What We're Looking For:

• Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting is preferred
• A patient, empathetic and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A passion for helping children overcome challenges and achieve their potential
• A current, enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
