QTS Tutor

Prospero Teaching is seeking qualified QTS Tutors to deliver high-quality tuition to young people requiring Alternative Provision across East Sussex. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of learners who need additional support outside of mainstream education.

Key Details:

• Hours: Flexible, part-time opportunities available
• Age Range: Learners from 4 years old to post-16
• Subjects: Core curriculum and tailored learning plans
• Delivery: One-to-one, in-person

As a Tutor, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs
• Support learners with academic progress and personal development
• Maintain accurate records and provide feedback to stakeholders
• Ensure safeguarding and welfare standards are upheld

About you:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Experience working with children and young people in education
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning needs
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:

• Hold right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide references upon request
• Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
