A well-established engineering business is looking to recruit an Apprentice Welding Fabricator to join its workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a long-term career in welding and fabrication within a supportive, hands-on environment.
As an Apprentice Welding Fabricator, you will work alongside experienced fabricators and welders while developing practical and technical skills. You'll be trained to read drawings, prepare materials, and produce high-quality components.
Key Responsibilities of the Apprentice Welder fabricator position
- Learn MIG and TIG welding techniques
- Assist in the fabrication of components using mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
- Use workshop machinery including press brake, guillotine, drills, and saws
- Measure, mark, cut, and prepare materials accurately
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Work to engineering drawings and quality standards
The Ideal Candidate:
- Keen interest in welding, fabrication, or engineering
- Practical mindset and willingness to learn
- Good attention to detail and work ethic
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English preferred, but not essential
