Tax Manager (Personal tax)

Our client is seeking a Tax Manager to oversee the management of personal tax clients at their Helensburgh office. This role involves direct client interaction and compliance management, including completing self-assessment tax returns and liaising with HMRC. The position offers flexibility with a combination of office-based and remote work.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage personal tax clients, ensuring all aspects of tax compliance are met efficiently.
  • Directly liaise with clients to provide tax advice and handle queries.
  • Complete self-assessment tax returns and related paperwork for clients.
  • Communicate with HMRC on behalf of clients to resolve issues and ensure compliance.
  • Handle some accounting responsibilities as required.
  • Complete Anti-Money Laundering (AML) paperwork for clients.
  • Oversee the smooth running of the office, ensuring high standards of client service and operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold a professional accountancy qualification such as ICAS or ACCA.
  • Demonstrable track record of working in tax and managing a portfolio of tax clients.
  • Experience with IRIS software is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively managing client relationships.
