  • The role may require working 12-hour shifts on a 21-day rotation, and overtime is available depending on the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing mechanical fitting tasks on marine vessels
  • Conducting maintenance, repairs and installations on various equipment
  • Ensuring all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations
  • Collaborating with other team members to ensure project targets are met
  • Documenting and reporting work completed and any issues encountered
  • Adhering to project deadlines and maintaining a high level of workmanship


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in shipbuilding/shiprepair or ex Royal Navy
  • Strong mechanical fitting skills
  • Relevant qualifications (NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent apprenticeship)
  • Current SC Clearance is essential - will require confirmation form UKSV


Working Hours:

  • Normal dayshift: 08:05 to 16:45 Monday to Thursday, 08:05 to 12:05 Friday
  • Overtime available project dependant
  • Maybe a requirement for AWP (Alternative Working Pattern): 12-hour shifts on a 21-day rotation
  • One rate all hours - 39/h Umb co or 29.12/h PAYE plus 3.51/h holiday pay (can be accrued or advanced)
