Morson Edge are currently seeking an Air Stores Control Organisation Engineer (ASCO) to join the team at RNAS Culdrose on a permanent basis.

JOB PURPOSE

The Integrated Merlin Operational Support (IMOS) Air Stores Control Organisation (ASCO) Engineer is to provide effective engineering advice and management in order to satisfy customer demand. Stock levels must be investigated to meet determined timelines. Provide technical engineering and logistical support when managing state and manual demands. Offer expert advice through advanced problem-solving abilities to resolve challenging aircraft stores demands and offer customer advice. Operate within Leonardo Helicopters (LH) Health and Safety requirements. 

Duties: 

  • Work to enable LH Management to achieve all Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) 
  • Operate the current release or version of IOS IT systems relevant to role, to include, ASDER, MJDI, MIS, GOLDesp, TQS, MoD DII, Resolve, SAP and the CIETP.
  • Provide support to the customer with technical queries, to ensure all engineering checks are carried out prior to a state demand being raised.
  • To investigate and provide the SLICT and the MDT information to help progress and procure stores required for Manual Demands.
  • Ensure all engineering, reference and logistics checks are carried out prior to a manual demand and TQS being raised.
  • Liaise with MDMF for Manual demand queries and demand progression.
  • Liaise with the Priority Progression Cell (PPC) to ensure all logistic checks are carried out prior to a state demand placed.
  • Communicate with the PPC and R2 to ensure suitable assets are investigated to provide a potential solution prior to a demand being progressed.
  • Provide assistance to the management of ASDER ensuring it is maintained and kept up to date with the latest information.
  • As a team understand Cannibalizations within the Merlin Fleet.
  • Communicate and liaise with external agencies as required.
  • Utilize the Engineering Sentencing Cell to condition equipment to understand queries with Stock held in the W Site Hangar Footprint.
  • Ensure Contractual pipeline times are met when issuing serviceable equipment in accordance with the Defence Logistics Framework.
  • Undertake any other duties as directed by LH Management or Senior Staff. 

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Served a recognized engineering apprenticeship or having gained relevant experience in an aviation environment.
  • High level of problem-solving abilities and being able to apply them in a support environment and provide alternative solutions.
  • Have a detailed engineering understanding of the Merlin aircraft and its systems.
  • IT literacy with competence of Microsoft Office application 
  • Have competency of CIETP, GOLDesp, MOD Engineering Information Systems and all associated documentation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively 
  • Ability to work unsupervised, to demanding deadlines. 
  • An understanding of Health and Safety and MOD regulations as applied to storing goods is required.
  • Be adaptable and flexible to the changing needs of a Service Delivery environment
