Are you an experienced Design Manager seeking an exciting new role? Join a dynamic team to oversee and guide a group of skilled CAD designers on both new and existing products and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Build and nurture a high-performing team.
Hands-On Management: Utilise your experience to lead and motivate team members, delivering creative and practical designs.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with designers to ensure all designs incorporate necessary safety factors and meet their intended purpose.
Project Management: Achieve project targets for time, cost, and technical performance. Meet individual and departmental KPIs.
Stakeholder Meetings: Participate in meetings with customers, suppliers, and other departments to review design requirements, schemes, and progress.
Cross-Department Coordination: Work with all departments to ensure cost-effective and efficient designs for manufacturing and performance.
Knowledge Requirements:
Essential:
Proficient in CAD drawing software such as Solidworks (or similar).
Disciplined approach with a high level of accuracy.
Experience in construction or a related industry.
Desirable:
Fabrication experience, particularly with steel-work/metal components.
Experience working with third-party contractors and support services.
Knowledge of individual performance management techniques.
Salary:
40,000 - 50,000 DOE
