We have an exciting opportunity for a number of engineers to join a hard-working engineering team on a long-term contract basis. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in the installtion and repair of mechanical systems. Essential Prerequisites

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, with a focus on piping systems (flanged)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • 3 years industry relevant experience minimum
  • Relevant qualification in mechanical, hydraulic or electrical fitting and assembly

Tasks will include but will not be limited to:

  • Mechanical fitting of flanged piping, valves and pumps
  • Maintenance and commissioning of mechanical and hydraulic systems
  • On site troubleshooting and repairs
  • Pre delivery inspections, post receipt inspections and repairs
  • Management and operation of new builds
  • Maintenance and servicing reinstatement of new and reconditioned products as required.

The products include offshore equipment and include electrical, hydraulic and mechanical machines and assemblies.

The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated and capable of managing their time and resources effectively in order to meet product and project deadlines.

You will need your own hand and battery tools and the willingness to get stuck in!

There is the opportunity to work a 4 or 5-day week, with overtime available on either shift.

The work is on the basis of an ongoing contract that is inside IR35.
