Interim Financial ControllerLocation: Hemel Hempstead (Hybrid)Fixed Term Contract Length: Up to 6 months, with strong potential for a permanent roleSalary Range: £75,000 - £85,000 per year

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Interim Financial Controller to join a dynamic, expanding business. This position plays a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and contributing valuable strategic insights to drive the organisation forward. There is a high likelihood of the role becoming permanent after the initial contract.

Main Duties Include:

• Leading the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with accuracy and timeliness

• Managing budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow processes

• Ensuring full compliance with accounting standards, tax obligations, and financial regulations

• Overseeing all financial operations and advising senior leadership with strategic financial analysis

• Supervising and mentoring finance staff to maintain smooth day-to-day operations

• Acting as the primary liaison with auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners

• Enhancing and maintaining robust financial systems and internal controls

• Providing senior management with analytical support and insight for decision-making

Candidate Profile:

• Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a strong academic background

• Demonstrated success in a senior finance role within the UK

• In-depth knowledge of tax laws and accounting principles

• Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication and people skills

• Advanced Excel capabilities and familiarity with accounting platforms (SAP or similar experience desirable)

• Prior exposure to international operations or multi-currency environments is beneficial

• Strong analytical skills, particularly with complex datasets and pivot tables
