Interim Financial Controller
Location: Hemel Hempstead (Hybrid)
Duration: Up to 6 months, with strong potential for permanent placement
Salary: 80,000 - 90,000 per annum

We are currently looking for an experienced Interim Financial Controller to lead the financial operations of a dynamic and growing organisation. This role will offer you the opportunity to have a significant impact on the business by ensuring efficient financial management, compliance, and driving strategic insights. There is a strong possibility for this role to transition into a permanent position after the initial term.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, including cash flow planning.
* Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirements.
* Oversee the financial operations of the organisation, providing strategic financial insights to senior management.
* Supervise and develop the finance team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and adherence to deadlines.
* Act as a point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
* Implement and maintain robust financial controls and systems.
* Support senior leadership with data analysis and decision-making.

Required Skills & Experience:
* A recognised professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or relevant degree.
* Proven experience in financial management and leadership, ideally within a UK-based organisation.
* Strong understanding of accounting standards and tax regulations.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with SAP or similar platforms is a plus).
* Experience with international subsidiaries or multi-currency operations is advantageous.
* Ability to analyse and manipulate complex data, including using pivot tables.
