Senior Financial Controller

Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About Us: Our client is a dynamic and growing international company, seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Controller to join our finance team. Our client operates across multiple countries, providing innovative solutions in the technology sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • Tax Compliance: Manage all aspects of VAT and corporation tax, including preparation and submission of tax returns.
  • International Currency Management: Oversee foreign currency transactions and manage currency risk.
  • Audit Coordination: Liaise with external auditors to ensure smooth and successful audits.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience in financial control, preferably within an international company.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and VAT regulations.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience managing and developing a finance team.
