Here at Evey Step Recruitment, Finance & Accountancy, we’re looking for an Accounts Assistant on an ongoing temporary basis to oversee financial records and support daily accounting tasks. The role involves processing transactions accurately, ensuring compliance, and helping maintain efficient finance operations.Please note, this is an office-based role, Monday to Thursday.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Maintain financial records, including invoices and payments
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Provide senior managers with regular financial updates
- Review and reconcile supplier statements
- Update internal financial records, including expenses
- Analyse credit card transactions and post to ledger
- Organise and address financial queries efficiently
- Handle utility bills and related financial matters
- Support external audits with necessary documentation
- Assist the finance team with general administrative tasks
Attributes and Skill Set required:
- Recent experience in a similar Accounts Assistant role
- Confident user of MS Excel and accounting software
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
