Commercial GAS engineer - covering Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Essex.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible forworking on a mix of client sites such as schools, offices and residential sites and will be familiar and have experience of commercial sized boilers and associated plant and equipment carrying outmaintenance and service tasks including fault finding/diagnosis and repairs on equipment.

Other aspects of the job will involve the installation of new equipment, testing and commissioning with agreed programmes.

The completion of commissioning certificates along with the distribution and safe keeping of materials on site ensuring that any defects / shortfalls are notified.

You will provide technical advice where required to clients while on site and have the flexibility to be on call approximately one week in ten.

You will be working alongside likeminded and supportive colleagues in order to provide a great customer service.

Duties

  • Conduct routine planned maintenance and service requirements working under own initiative to locate and diagnose faults and concerns.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with all GAS requirements regularly to the Operations Manager.
  • Test installations, in line with the current legislation requirements and record the results of such tests on electronic system.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and answer any client questions or relay these questions back to the office.
  • Repair and / or replace faculty installations, such as leaks, controls etc and assess parts needed.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial systems, and ensure installations are to current regulations.
  • To maintain regular contact with the Operations Manager and office team to obtain instructions and resolve work problems.
  • To record completed works and maintain accurate record of work carried out including measurements and calculations.
  • Requirements

  • Demonstrate behaviours in line with our company values: Honesty, Professionalism and Quality.
  • Experience as Commercial GAS Engineer At least 3 years (ideally)in a relevant role, post qualification.
  • ACS Commercial gas tickets, CODNCO1, COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CORT1, CDGA1(Essential)
  • Advantageous to have ACS Domestic Gas Certification.
  • Relevant qualifications in gas engineering (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ).
  • Conversant with Current Gas Regulations (Essential)
  • Good level of computer skills, ability to use PDA/Compliance system for reporting.
  • Positive attitude and work ethic.
  • Good presentation, planning, and organisational skill, self-motivated and able to work under their own initiative.
  • Clean UK Driving License.
  • Clean DBS Record.
  • 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday. 08.00am 17.00pm
  • 24 days holiday per year plus bank holidays. Increasing by 1 day per year following 3 years of service.
