We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join a busy team in Hemel Hempstead. They manufacture high precision parts and components for the Aerospace sector in a clean and modern environment. This is a fixed term contract of a three month period.
Responsibilities
Setting and operating CNC turning machines to produce components to customer specification.
Working with Planning, Quality and other teams on repeat and NPI jobs to develop manufacturing methods.
Ensure accurate job timings are recorded within the Company's ERP system.
Maintain 6s standards within the shop floor.
Look for continuous improvement opportunities- improving processes with small tweaks or complete re-engineering.
Experience and Skills
Previous aerospace experience or similar is required
Competent in setting and operating CNC Lathes using Fanuc controls.
CMZ Turning experience would be an advantage.
Previous experience of working with a range of materials.
Either apprentice trained or qualified by experience
Candidate must be capable of operating without supervision and have the capability to problem solve.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday 4pm-Midnight
Pay Rate
22 per hour
