Are you a compassionateresilient, and motivated individual with a passion for supporting young people to thrive in education? A number of inclusive and forward-thinking schools in Hemel hempstead are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their pastoral teams from September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils who may face social, emotional, or behavioural challenges. You will work closely with teaching staff, pastoral leads to provide targeted support, build positive relationships, and promote positive behaviour for learning.

Job Description:

v  Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to develop self-regulationconfidence, and engagement

v  Implement and monitor behaviour support plans in collaboration with SENCOs and pastoral teams

v  Promote a safeinclusive, and supportive learning environment

v  Act as a positive role model, encouraging resiliencerespect, and emotional wellbeing

v  Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure consistent support strategies

The Ideal Candidate Will:

v  Have experience working with children or young people in an educational, youth work, or care setting (desirable but not essential)

v  Be empatheticpatient, and solution-focused

v  Demonstrate a strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and trauma-informed practice

v  Be committed to safeguardinginclusion, and pupil wellbeing

v  Possess excellent communicationteamwork, and organisational skills
