Known for their in-house delivery model, commitment to quality, and a collaborative approach with clients, they’ve grown into a true turnkey contractor with a projected turnover of over £60m.

As they continue to grow their presence in the data centre sector, they’re now looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead the delivery of a £6m live project in Hemel Hempstead, with long-term plans to move into a Contracts Manager role for the right individual.

The Role
Â
This is a key leadership role, responsible for end-to-end mechanical project management on a high-specification data centre scheme. You’ll be involved from mobilisation through to handover, managing specialist packages, subcontractors, quality, compliance, and coordination with internal teams and the client.

Key Responsibilities for the Mechanical Project Manager:
- Lead and manage the mechanical scope on-site from pre-start through to project completion
- Chair internal, subcontractor, and client meetings
- Maintain high standards of quality, health and safety, and delivery
- Oversee subcontractor coordination, programming, and logistics
- Ensure compliance with internal systems, ISO standards, and legislative requirements
- Drive project progress, solve technical challenges, and maintain accurate site records
- Build strong working relationships with all stakeholders and supply chain
- Identify opportunities to improve performance and add value across the project
- Strong background in mechanical project delivery within data centres, commercial or mission-critical environments
- SMSTS & CSCS (Manager level)
- In-depth understanding of mechanical services, commissioning, and compliance
- Ability to manage complex programmes and lead subcontract teams
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Main contractor or M&E contractor background preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Procore is beneficial
- Competitive salary: £85k - £90k + package (or £400 - £500/day)
