We are currently seeking a dedicated Customer Service Advisor to join ourteam in Hemel Hempstead. This is a full-time role where you will play a crucial part in ensuring our operations run smoothly while delivering high-quality service to our valued customers. This role goes beyond simply answering calls, you'll be responsible for understanding customer needs, communicating them clearly, and ensuring they're met efficiently, all while upholding excellent customer service standards and fostering strong client relationships.

Responsibilities in your new role as Customer Service Advisor
In this role, you will act as a key point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses. You will coordinate bookings, collections, and deliveries with both internal teams and transport partners, monitor and resolve customer issues, complaints, and claims efficiently, and keep customer information and operational records accurate and up to date to ensure data quality.

You will also provide regular updates to customers on the status of orders and operations, support the onboarding of new customers, participate in review meetings, track and report on operational performance and key metrics, and manage daily helpdesk activities, ensuring queries are assigned and resolved quickly.

Your personality, experience and qualifications
We are looking for someone with proven experience in a customer service role within an international logistics or transport company. You'll need to be confident, with excellent interpersonal skills to manage challenging interactions while maintaining a respectful and solution-oriented approach. Your ability to handle demanding customers professionally and calmly is essential to ensuring customer satisfaction, even in challenging situations. A friendly, open-minded, and professional demeanor is critical for fostering strong relationships with colleagues, hauliers, customers, and management alike. An energetic and results-oriented mindset will help you tackle problems involving non-standardised situations effectively.

You must have a proactive attitude, taking ownership of tasks and responsibilities with minimal oversight, and thrive in an independent work environment. Additionally, you'll be able to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities effectively, be a quick learner of oursystems and company processes, possess excellent communication skills, and be proficient in MS Office, including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Office 365.
