Our client, a highly regarded financial planning firm based near Hemel is seeking an experienced and technically astute Paraplanner to join their friendly and collaborative team. Working closely with Managing Directors, Chartered Financial Planners, Wealth Advisers, and Investment Specialists, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality advice and technical support to a loyal and growing client base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting detailed advice letters and suitability reports relating to pensions, investments, and income drawdown
  • Preparing comprehensive review documentation and content for annual client meetings
  • Creating accurate and insightful cashflow models to support financial planning recommendations
  • Conducting in-depth technical research to underpin client strategies
  • Providing technical assistance on complex client queries
  • Collaborating with internal teams to maintain seamless client service
  • Attending occasional client meetings (most meetings are held in-house)

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Diploma in Financial Planning (Level 4 qualified)
  • Strong understanding of the financial planning process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail and analytical ability
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
  • Experience using industry CRM/back-office systems (e.g., X-Plan, Intelligent Office)
  • Confident taking accurate meeting notes and liaising with clients directly
  • Familiarity with cashflow modelling tools

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience supporting senior advisers or advisory teams
  • Strong technical knowledge of pensions and investments
  • Exposure to high-net-worth clients and complex financial planning needs
  • Track record of producing bespoke, technically detailed reports
  • Additional qualifications such as:
    • Chartered Financial Planner
    • Certified Financial Planner
    • Other relevant technical accreditations
