The Opportunity:
Are you confident, calm under pressure, and passionate about helping students achieve their best?

We are seeking an enthusiastic behavior mentor to support students in Hemel Hempstead, starting in September 2025. This role is ideal for someone with experience in behaviour management, youth work, or mentoring who is keen to make a real difference to young people’s education and emotional well-being.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students in class and in small group interventions
  • Helping to remove barriers to learning caused by behavioural or emotional challenges
  • Mentoring students to develop confidence, motivation, and resilience
  • Assisting teachers in maintaining a calm, respectful classroom environment
  • Recording behaviour incidents and contributing to intervention strategies

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience supporting students with behavioural needs in schools or youth settings
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Calm, patient, and consistent approach
  • Commitment to promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Team player with a growth mindset
  • Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain one)
