A leading European manufacturer of loading bays, dock levellers, and industrial door systems is looking for an Industrial Door Engineer to join their expanding team in the Slough and Crawley areas.
The role involves servicing, repairing, and fault-finding on industrial doors, dock levellers, and related loading bay equipment at customer sites. You will work independently, travel between sites, complete service reports, and ensure all work is carried out safely and to a high standard.
The company provides a Ford Transit van, company mobile phone, full tools, and ongoing technical training to support your work. The position includes participation in a 1-in-5 call-out rota, offering a 100 standby allowance and 30 for each call-out attended. This Industrial Door Engineer role requires you to have:
- Practical experience working on dock levellers, dock shelters and loading bay equipment such as roller shutters, high speed, rapid rollers, sectionals, gates, barriers and overhead doors.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience recommending further works to be carried out on site.
- Installation, servicing and repair experience.
- Electrical, Welding or hydraulics experience.
The remuneration package involved for a successful Industrial Door Engineer is as follows:
- 39,000 + basic salary working a 40-hour contract. (54,000 OTE)
- Call out rota 1 in 5 weeks paid 100 standby fee and a minimum of 3 hours paid per call-out attended.
- 33 days holiday including bank holidays (25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays)
