About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced Yard Supervisor to join them in HemelHempstead. This is a hands-on position focused on ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the yard and warehouse, including stock handling, team supervision, and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety of all yard operations and visitors
- Maintain an organised, clean, and safe yard layout
- Oversee and support Yard Operatives in their daily tasks
- Deliver a high standard of customer service to trade and retail clients
- Prepare for and support regular stock takes
- Ensure compliance with all yard Health & Safety procedures
- Manage paperwork in line with company protocols
- Prioritise and coordinate the loading and unloading of vehicles
Person & Skills
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic with a positive, can-do attitude
- Flexible and adaptable to meet operational demands
- Excellent communication skills for effective team and customer interaction
- Strong team leadership skills with a focus on collaboration and safety
