Description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our food distribution team. You will be responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of food products to retail outlets, distribution centers, or restaurants across the UK. This role requires compliance with food safety regulations, vehicle standards, and driving laws.

Profile

  • Operate a Class 1 (C+E) HGV vehicle to deliver chilled, frozen, or ambient food products.
  • Conduct pre- and post-vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with DVSA standards.
  • Ensure products are transported under appropriate temperature controls to maintain food safety.
  • Load and unload deliveries using tail lifts, pallet trucks, or forklifts (if licensed).
  • Complete delivery paperwork, logbooks, and digital manifests accurately.
  • Maintain communication with transport planners, warehouse staff, and customers.
  • Adhere to all health & safety, hygiene, and driving regulations.
  • Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers.
