Description
The Contract Logistics Manager will oversee a key customer operation in Hemel Hempstead. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional service across a combined warehouse and transport operation. Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure all KPI's, such as operational and financial targets are met as required.
- Engage, develop and motivate your team to ensure a positive and constructive workplace and drive colleague engagement.
- Be an advocate for excellent customer experience.
- Build a relationship with the customer, securing contract renewals and ensuring business excellence.
- Work efficiently to tight deadlines to ensure customer satisfaction targets and service targets are adhered to.
- Ensure effective communication throughout the operation.
- You will be responsible for building relationships with business partners to ensure that they meet the service level agreements.
- Ensuring an effective people resourcing plan to meet the needs of the business.
- Be actively involved with budget reviews with added value thinking for the customer.
- Ensure the operation operates to the mutual benefit of the customer and the company.
Profile
The successful Contract Logistics Manager will live within a commuting distance of our client's operation in Hemel Hempstead and will be able to demonstrate the following experience:
- Senior management experience working within a 3PL environment.
- Fully familiar with stringent service level expectations, in both a transport & warehouse environment.
- Ideally hold a CPC qualification.
- Commercially astute with the ability to deliver benefit against an open book budget.
- Strategic in your approach, with the ability to continually seek for ways to enhance and improve current processes.
- Be a clear communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence at all levels, both internally and externally.
Job Offer
In addition to a basic salary between £60,000 and £70,000, further benefits include; car allowance, company bonus scheme, company pension contributions, private healthcare and a generous holiday scheme.
