We are now recruiting for a highly organised and proactive Logistics Manager to oversee all logistics flows into, through and out of our workshop. This role ensures materials and finished goods move smoothly from goods-in to installation, supporting efficient manufacture, spraying, delivery and project completion.

You will act as a key link between Procurement, Goods In, Production, Spraying, Project Managers and Site teams, playing a vital part in ensuring timely, accurate and complete delivery of every project.

As our Logistics Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the Goods In team and ensure accurate receipting, checking and storage of materials.
  • Coordinating delivery schedules with Procurement to avoid shortages or bottlenecks.
  • Resolving any delivery discrepancies, damages or shortages quickly.
  • Coordinating all logistics activities (goods in, transfers, staging and despatch).
  • Aligning logistics plans with cutting lists, spray schedules and job boards.
  • Overseeing internal movement of work-in-progress to maintain workflow and avoid congestion.
  • Acting as the main link between workshop, Procurement, Project Managers and Site teams.
  • Ensuring all joinery is packaged and protected to project and company standards.
  • Liaising with site teams on access, storage and installation order to support efficient delivery.
  • Collating and dispatching all consumables, fixings and components required for installation.
  • Supporting drivers and logistics staff with documentation, photos and delivery feedback.
  • Carrying out final completeness checks before despatch and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Using company systems to track deliveries, damage reports and returns for continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring and reporting logistics KPIs and work with teams to remove delays or inefficiencies.
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO, FSC and Health & Safety requirements across logistics activities.
  • Leading and developing logistics staff, promoting strong communication and service standards.
  • Gathering feedback from workshop and site teams to refine logistics processes.
  • Supporting general workshop/yard housekeeping, stock organisation and continuous improvement

In order to be successful in this role you must have / be:

  • Proven experience in a joinery or manufacturing workshop environment,
  • understanding of logistics and programming of multiple projects
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
  • Works well under pressure
  • Practical problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
