We are working with a multi-disciplinary civil and structural design consultancy based in Chesham, who have a reputation for delivering high-quality, innovative engineering solutions across the UK.
Their specialisms include concrete frame value engineering, high-rise construction, difficult ground condition solutions, temporary works, pre-stressed concrete, and the design and specification of high-tolerance industrial floors.
They are currently seeking an experienced Temporary Works Engineer to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. This role will involve working on a variety of projects, supporting the design and implementation of temporary structures and solutions in collaboration with our civil and structural engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and check temporary works
- Work closely with permanent works design teams to ensure coordination
- Prepare design calculations, drawings, and reports
- Liaise with contractors, site teams, and clients to provide engineering advice and practical solutions
- Ensure all temporary works designs are safe, efficient, and comply with relevant codes and standards
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant UK experience in temporary works design
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of Eurocodes/British Standards and CDM regulations
- Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., Tekla Tedds, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
