A friendly and inclusive primary school in the Hemel Hempstead area is looking for a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team from January 2026. The school is well-regarded for its strong community values, supportive leadership, and commitment to fostering both academic success and personal growth in its pupils.

This role is open to both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are seeking a positive, nurturing environment to develop their teaching skills.

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and imaginative lessons to a Key Stage 1 class

  • Tailor lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of all students

  • Support pupils in developing key skills in literacy, numeracy, and social development

  • Create a calm and nurturing classroom environment that fosters learning

  • Track student progress and use assessments to guide teaching

  • Build strong, positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents

  • Get involved in wider school activities, teamwork, and enrichment programs

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching in KS1 or relevant placements for ECTs

  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum

  • Effective classroom management and organisational skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
