Your Role
As our Super Optometrist, you'll:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and health assessments
- Digitally document findings
- Prescribe and recommend spectacles
- Detect and manage eye conditions, provide referralsÂ
- Provide personalised eye care advice to patients and families when required
- Collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional customer service
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- GOC-registered Optometrist with a full UK driving licence.
- Strong clinical skills in eye examination, diagnosis, and management of ocular conditions.
- Previous experience in domiciliary, community, or care home optometry.
- Compassionate communicator, able to engage sensitively with elderly residents, including those living with dementia.
- Organised, adaptable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and best practice.
Desirable:
- Interest in clinical leadership, mentoring, or service innovation.
- Experience with digital patient record systems.
Our Service Area
We serve care homes across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Milton Keynes, Northampton and North West London.
