We are seeking dedicated 1:1 Tutors to join our team, working closely with Hertfordshire Local Authority to provide personalised tuition to students with complex needs. This role requires tutors who can deliver bespoke tuition and mentoring, tailored to each student's unique requirements.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide personalised, one-on-one tuition to students with complex needs, either at local settings such as libraries or at the student's home.
  • Develop and prepare session plans that cater specifically to the individual needs and learning objectives of each student.
  • Engage with students to build trust and rapport, creating a safe and conducive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record the student's progress, adapting teaching methods and materials as needed.
  • Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to maximise student learning and well-being.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Availability for 10-15 hours per week.
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service is essential.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferable but not mandatory.
  • Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly with students who have special educational needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire learners.
  • Ability to plan, organise, and execute educational activities that are both engaging and effective.
  • Comfortable with travelling to different locations within Hertfordshire for tuition sessions.
