The Opportunity:

Are you looking for flexible work in education? We’re currently recruiting reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisors for day-to-day supply work across a range of well-organised and welcoming secondary schools in Hemel Hempstead.

This is an ideal role for those who enjoy variety, want experience in different school environments, and prefer short-term commitments. Whether you’re a recent graduate, trainee teacher, or experienced classroom practitioner, this opportunity offers hands-on experience and flexibility.

Your Role Will Involve:

Supervising pre-planned lessons in the absence of teaching staff
Keeping students engaged and focused throughout the day
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Providing brief feedback to teaching staff
Adapting quickly to new school environments and subject areas
Being dependable, punctual, and professional for each placement

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience working with young people (schools, youth work, tutoring, etc.)
Confident classroom presence and behaviour management skills
Adaptability and resilience across different year groups and schools
Clear communication and a professional approach
An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
